“I would stomp a mudhole in his a**” – Stone Cold Steve Austin says he can still beat The Rock
Stone Cold Steve Austin says he can still beat The Rock. The Texas Rattlesnake also offered a sound explanation why he thinks he will win.
Wrestling experienced its greatest period with Stone Cold Steve Austin and The Rock running the show. The two faced each other countless times, enhancing their legend each time and in the process became the biggest names ever in the business; the likes of which has not been seen before or after.

Unfortunately for the fans, neither of the two stayed in WWE for too long. The Rock left the promotion to make a name in Hollywood. Stone Cold on the other hand, was plagued with injuries mainly from his match against Owen Hart in 1997, and had to retire early as a result.
Stone Cold Steve Austin says he can still beat The Rock
In an interview with YouTuber Lily Singh, Stone Cold weighed in on who would come out on top if he and The Rock went at it again. True to his character, he named himself ahead of the Great One. However, Austin had a good reason for choosing himself.
“Man, if you’re asking me, it’s gonna be Stone Cold Steve Austin, ’cause I would walk in there, and I would stomp a mudhole in his a**, and walk him dry,” Stone Cold said. “See, Rock’s been out there making all these movies, he’s the #1 movie star in the world, and I know he’s been in the gym, but… man, I’m still pretty hard. I’m still pretty salty, you know. I’m still leaning on them beers. To match us up, right here, right now, I’m predicting Stone Cold Steve Austin.”
Stone Cold has not wrestled another match since his showdown against the Rock at Wrestlemania XIX back in 2003. This was also the only time the Rock won against him at the showcase of the immortals. They faced each other twice before at Mania with Stone Cold getting the better of his rival on both occasions.
The Rock is not a regular in the WWE anymore. He has however, wrestled once in a while for them. He was rumored to be in line for a mania match against cousin Roman Reigns. Plans however, seem to have changed with reports suggesting that the match has been postponed to 2022 instead.
