The Undertaker heaps massive praise on top WWE Superstar. The Deadman called time on his career at Survivor Series last year.
The Undertaker wrestled his last match at Wrestlemania 36. His retirement was hinted at and was finally confirmed at Survivor Series, exactly 30 years since he made his debut on the very same event. His has been a career unparalled in the WWE. He’s spent years enthralling fans with his career work just the way a current WWE star has been doing the same to him.
While speaking with Sports Illustrated’s Justin Barrasso, the Deadman had some big words for his one time opponent Roman Reigns. He revealed that he was very proud of him and even spoke of the conversation they had at Survivor Series last year.
The Undertaker heaps massive praise on top WWE Superstar
“I’m so proud of where he is. The night of Survivor Series [in November], I went up to Roman and Jey and said, ‘This is the most compelling story that we’ve done in a while.’ And where he’s been able to take it, it’s so good. It’s not forced. Roman is hitting on all cylinders,”
“I think he’s a great heel—coldhearted, calculated. There is a compelling backstory and you still feel the tension when Roman appears. Like I said, I’m really proud of him. I wish I had the gas in the tank to work a program with him now. It would definitely be something special.”
Reigns is currently in the middle of arguably his best WWE run as the Tribal Chief. Fans have long demanded a Reigns heel turn. However, to say he has exceeded expections would be an understatement. Many have showered him with praises and called him the best thing about current WWE and it doesn’t look like the praises will stop anytime soon.
