Real reason why Finn Balor’s Demon never fought Bray Wyatt’s Fiend
Real reason why Finn Balor’s Demon never fought Bray Wyatt’s Fiend. Bray Wyatt and Finn Balor fought each other at SummerSlam 2019.
The WWE Universe was first introduced to the Fiend back in 2019. Bray Wyatt’s latest incarnation was unleashed to wreak havoc in the WWE and his first victim was Finn Balor. Interestingly, Balor also has a force of nature within him that has proven to be quite a handful for anyone that has crossed paths with him.

Fans were eager to see if they would ever see the Fiend take on the Demon. That unfortunately never happened. However, it seems that the WWE did intend for them to clash with each other. Although, plans fell apart due to reasons beyond their control.

Andrew Zarian of The Mat Men podcast, was asked if there was a chance the Demon and Fiend would clash at SummerSlam this year. Zarian answered in the negative but revealed that the match was supposed to take place last year but was nixed due to the pandemic.
“That was supposed to happen a year ago, but the pandemic happened.”
He did not elaborate on how the pandemic affected the original plans. However, it is likely that the WWE wanted a match of this caliber to take place in front of a crowd. Although, in hindsight, the WWE could have taken advantage of the situation and gone all out with their production.
We can only imagine what the match was supposed to look like and who would have come out on top. Could the WWE have brought the Demon’s unbeaten run in the main roster to an end at the hands of the Fiend or would the demon avenge Balor’s loss? Unfortunately, at this point, we can only speculate.
