Trish Stratus opens up on a possible WWE return

Trish Stratus opens up on a possible WWE return. The former WWE Women’s champion also had a specific talent in mind that she wants to face.

Trish Stratus was one of the biggest stars in the WWE. Unfortunately for her, her time in the WWE coincided with one of the worst periods for Women’s wrestling in the promotion. Thinks have since changed though and the women have now become one of the biggest features of the show.

Trish Stratus has also made a few comebacks to the WWE and faced a much higher caliber of opponents. Her last match was against Charlotte at last year’s SummerSlam. The match was billed as a passing of the torch. However, it seems that Trish isn’t done with the WWE yet and still has one dream opponent she would like to face.

Sasha Banks and Trish Stratus had an interesting moment together during the first ever Women’s Royal Rumble match. While a showdown was teased, the WWE are yet to pull the trigger on it and Trish made it abundantly clear that she was all for a match against the SmackDown Women’s Champion.

“I mean, I think Sasha Banks and I might have some unfinished business and I say this with much love and respect,” Trish said during her appearance on the POST Wrestling Christmas Show.

“It’s like this moment we had at the Royal Rumble so many years ago; it seems like so many years ago now. It’s just like, people have held onto that moment and I watch it back.

“It’s undeniable [that] there’s definitely this intangible… this energy between us that — it’s a rare thing sometimes that two superstars get in there and you’re like, ‘Ooouuu, I like this,’ and you know, so I respect her so much as a worker, as a person, as a friend and so yeah, I think as a fan and personally, I think that would be an interesting thing to pursue, possibly at some point. Maybe possibly down the line at some point.”

Archie is a WWE and UFC Editor/Author at the SportsRush. Like most combat sports enthusiasts, his passion for watching people fight began with WWE when he witnessed a young Brock Lesnar massacre Hulk Hogan back in 2002. This very passion soon branched out to boxing and mixed martial arts. Over the years he fell in love with the theatrics that preceded the bell and the poetic carnage that followed after. Each bruise a story to tell, each wound a song of struggle, his greatest desire is to be there to witness it all. His favorite wrestler is Shawn Michaels and he believes that GSP is the greatest to ever step foot inside the octagon. Apart from wrestling, he is also fond of poetry and music.
