WWE News: Top NXT Star calls AEW Great Competition. Proclaims that the greatest era of wrestling will soon begin.
AEW earlier announced that they have entered a partnership with WarnerMedia. WarnerMedia, a leading media and entertainment company creates and distributes popular content through its brands such as HBO, Warner Bro’s TNT etc, will definitely make wrestling more accessible to a broad audience.
Since their establishment, the WWE have been wary of the young company. They’ve tried to hold on to their talents to prevent them from turning up for AEW. They have acknowledged the existence of the company as competition. Something they haven’t done since the Monday night wars. While there is no official news from a WWE Spokesperson on the partnership, one WWE NXT star looks like he’s looking forward to the AEW as a challenge.

Former Mixed Martial Artist and NXT wrestler Matt Riddle is excited at the prospect of competition from AEW. He posted a picture of himself with a shocked face on Twitter. The caption read: The face you make when you know the greatest era of wrestling is about to begin because of great competition! Thank You

Knowing Vince and his pettiness it’ll be interesting to see how he reacts to this. Wouldn’t be surprised if Vince calls Riddle to the Main Roster just to become one of the dancers in No Way Jose’s Congo line!
Matt Riddle fought in the UFC from 2008 to 2013. He was released after failing their drug test twice. Riddle tested positive for Marijuana. He eventually joined NXT last year. Riddle went through the entire year undefeated. He then challenged Velveteen Dream for his North American Championship. However Riddle lost that match and his undefeated streak. at NXT Takeover: New York on April 5 this year .
