Trish Stratus discusses potential dream match against Sasha Banks

Trish Stratus discusses potential dream match against Sasha Banks. The Boss had previously expressed her desire to face the WWE legend.

During an appearance on D-Von Dudley’s “Table Talk” podcast, Sasha Banks was asked who she would like to wrestle at Evolution 2, should the pay-per-view take place. Banks immediately named Trish Stratus as her dream opponent.

Stratus, who has previously stated that she’s retired, acknowledged that fans had more than just a passing interest at the possibility of seeing her go against the Boss and addressed the situation during her appearance on WWE’s The Bump.

“I love and respect Sasha so much, I love her in-ring work, Stratus said. “Would I love to taste that? yes, I would.

“Look, here’s the thing, people are buzzing about Sasha and I, we’ve basically had a 5 minute interaction at Royal Rumble. That was what began the buzz, that’s been two years straight of people just buzzing about it and dreaming and hoping.

“As a wrestling fan do I think this is intriguing? Absolutely. I think it’s a pretty awesome idea, to be honest. That’s all I’ve got to say about that guys.”

Banks and Stratus have shared the ring twice previously. The first was in the Royal Rumble just as Stratus mentioned before. The other time was in a 10-woman tag team match in an episode on WWE RAW. Banks and Stratus were in the same team in that match.

The two have never clashed in a singles match before. However, if the match ever happens, one can expect it to be a huge affair. A face off between arguably WWE’s greatest female performer and another on the cusp of breaking of into superstardom, will be one for the record books for years to come.

Like most combat sports enthusiasts, his passion for watching people fight began with WWE when he witnessed a young Brock Lesnar massacre Hulk Hogan back in 2002. This very passion soon branched out to boxing and mixed martial arts. Over the years he fell in love with the theatrics that preceded the bell and the poetic carnage that followed after. Each bruise a story to tell, each wound a song of struggle, his greatest desire is to be there to witness it all. His favorite wrestler is Shawn Michaels and he believes that GSP is the greatest to ever step foot inside the octagon. Apart from wrestling, he is also fond of poetry and music.
