Roman Reigns has a message for Finn Balor after accepting his challenge

Roman Reigns has a message for Finn Balor after accepting his challenge for the Universal Championship on this week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown.

John Cena opened SmackDown this week by reiterating his challenge to Roman Reigns. However, the Tribal Chief was in no mood to entertain Cena’s demands. He turned down his proposal for a match at SummerSlam only to find himself immediately challenged by Finn Balor instead.

Reigns took to Twitter to send a message to Balor. He wrote:

“Welcome back to the Island of Relevancy, @FinnBalor. Not everyone gets a second chance, don’t waste it.”

Reigns and Balor are not unfamilar with each other. In fact, Reigns was his first singles opponent on the main roster. Balor went on to become the Innaugral Universal Champion but had to relinquish it following an injury. Reigns’ first opponent after winning the Universal Championship was also Finn Balor; which was also Balor’s first opportunity at the title after relinquishing it.

A lot has changed since. Both Reigns and Balor have undergone character changes and are arguably the best versions of themselves at the moment. With a victory apiece, the upcoming result will be the the final rubber between the two.

Like most combat sports enthusiasts, his passion for watching people fight began with WWE when he witnessed a young Brock Lesnar massacre Hulk Hogan back in 2002. This very passion soon branched out to boxing and mixed martial arts. Over the years he fell in love with the theatrics that preceded the bell and the poetic carnage that followed after. Each bruise a story to tell, each wound a song of struggle, his greatest desire is to be there to witness it all. His favorite wrestler is Shawn Michaels and he believes that GSP is the greatest to ever step foot inside the octagon. Apart from wrestling, he is also fond of poetry and music.
