“You know what? It’s so funny, I remember on that [UK] tour, that was before [John Cena] really hit it big, and I remember teasing him backstage and calling him a jobber, which is like what we call each other when we lose all the time, and I kind of pride myself on that because it was just way before — who would ever call him a jobber? No one.” Wilson recalled during a recent virtual meet-and-greet/signing with The Asylum Wrestling Store.

How off the mark she would be! Cena would go on to become a record 13-time WWE Champion and 16 time World Champion. He also has 5 United States Championship and 4 tag team Championships to his name. Cena became the face of the promotion for well over a decade and was synonymous with the promotion.

Cena is no longer an active participant in the WWE. He is signed on a part time deal. He is now looking to make a mark in Hollywood as well. Cena is currently shooting for Peacemaker in Canada, which, according to him, will keep him from Wrestlemania this year.

Like most combat sports enthusiasts, his passion for watching people fight began with WWE when he witnessed a young Brock Lesnar massacre Hulk Hogan back in 2002. This very passion soon branched out to boxing and mixed martial arts. Over the years he fell in love with the theatrics that preceded the bell and the poetic carnage that followed after. Each bruise a story to tell, each wound a song of struggle, his greatest desire is to be there to witness it all. His favorite wrestler is Shawn Michaels and he believes that GSP is the greatest to ever step foot inside the octagon. Apart from wrestling, he is also fond of poetry and music.
