WWE RAW 27 May 2019 Preview: The SportsRush presents to you the predicted matches and storylines for the upcoming episode of WWE Raw.
Precap- Brock Lesnar, the beast in the bank walked out last week with his newly won briefcase. Both the champions attempted to get Lesnar to cash in on them. Lesnar refused to choose between them and will instead choose his opponent this week.

Here are the predictions for this week’s show.
Roman Reigns
Last week it was announced that Roman and Shane would lock horns at Super Showdown. Shane hypocritically berated Reigns for punching his father before claiming that he was done with the Miz. Roman told Shane that he was done with Elias and challenged Shane to a fight. Because this is Roman and the WWE like to show him as a man overcoming all odds all the time; Drew McIntyre joined forces with Shane. Storyline wise it makes sense because Drew recently came out of a feud with Reigns at Mania. However, if they’re planning to make McIntyre a star in the future, becoming everyone’s lackey is not the way to go. This week at Raw we will likely see Roman take on Drew McIntyre with Shane McMahon by the ringside.
The Miz
The Miz lost to Drew McIntyre last week following Shane McMahon’s interference. Shane intended to hit a coast to coast on the A-Lister to compound his misery. Roman Reigns ran out for the save and staved the heels away. Roman will in all likelihood be outnumbered tonight and maybe the Miz will come down for the save this time. It would be better to have him start a new feud now though. Possibly one with Sami Zayn, who has no storyline at the moment.
AJ Styles
AJ’s next opponent is likely going to be Baron Corbin. The two engaged in a verbal joust last week that ended with Styles slapping Corbin. Styles is not advertised for tonight’s Raw, so he might not show up at all. However, if the Phenomenal one does make an appearance it could probably be to confirm his match against Corbin at Super Showdown. Considering AJ is reportedly looking to take some time off WWE and isn’t advertised for any WWE shows for the next month outside of Super ShowDown, the blow off match could happen at Saudi Arabia with AJ looking at the lights.
The United States Championship
This is another match that could take place at the Super ShowDown. Rey Mysterio did not feature last week and Samoa Joe made an appearance in a pre-recorded segment. The WWE have announced that the ‘Future of the United States Championship’ will be addressed tonight. Expect a tournament or a rematch. If you’re a lifelong fan of WWE, you already know that there’s a rematch coming. Hopefully this time we will have a match long enough to do justice to their talent.
Lars Sullivan
Last week, Lucha House Party came out to attack Lars but The Freak overpowered them and sent them packing. There is no reason to believe it won’t happen once again. Or maybe Lars could finally have his in-ring debut. That is very unlikely however and just expect Lars to find some other jobber to feast on, unless said jobber isn’t busy running behind R-Truth.
Braun Strowman and Bobby Lashley
The WWE have announced on their website that The Monster among men will clash with Bobby Lashley at the Super Showdown at Jeddah. With Braun done with his feud with Zayn, WWE should finally build this super heavyweight clash. There needs to be a reason for their clash other than, well it was announced so we have to fight. Give the fans a reason to care for a match that looks like it could have just happened at Raw instead.
Nikki Cross
Nikki is completely enamored by Alexa, to the point where she thinks the two are friends. Now that Alexa is cleared to wrestle once again, it will be amazing to see this feud be given wheels so we can witness the amazing roller coaster ride this story has the potential for. That is, if creative can somehow write a story involving women not in the title picture.
Ricochet
Ricochet lost a very entertaining match against Cesaro Last week. Considering Ricochet is advertised to face Cesaro in Tokyo next month, it is safe to assume that the two are set to enter a feud with each other.
Zac Ryder and Curt Hawkins
I love Ryder and Hawkins but at this point their reign is only devaluing the Raw Tag Team Titles. Either do something with them or have them drop the titles. With Zac and Curt advertised to defend the titles against the Revival next month, it looks like this game of hide and seek will continue a little longer.
Bray Wyatt and the Firefly Fun House
Last week’s Firefly Funhouse was merely sombre clips of children. Bray didn’t even feature in it. It probably had something to do with his newborn son’s arrival. Hopefully Bray will finally make his return today and terrorize the wrestlers and WWE universe alike.
The Usos and The Revival
The Uso’s victory over the SmackDown champions led to nothing as the brothers took on The Revival last week. The Revival won by heel tactics. It was a very good match though. It would be a lot better if this feud was for the Title’s but regardless, expect the two to tear the arena down once again. Have them do anything except those horrible attempts at comedy.
Becky Lynch and Lacey Evans
Becky teamed up with Nikki Cross and Alexa Bliss last week to take on Lacey Evans and The IIconics. The Man led her team to a victory after pinning Billie Kay. Evans left the tag team champions on their own and walked off on them before the loss. Lacey and Lynch are clearly not done with each other and it looks like Lacey will challenge Lynch for the Raw Women’s Championship at WWE Stomping Grounds next month.
R-Truth

R-Truth has been brilliant with the 24/7 belt. Logic dictates that you keep the belt on him for as long as possible. It is very possible that Truth could still walk out your 24/7 champion but 3 hours is a long time. Anyone is a threat; however, it would be hilarious if Drake Maverick finally gets his hands on the belt.
Seth Rollins Vs Lesnar
Last week Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman walked out with the Money in the Bank Briefcase. Rollins immediately walked out and demanded that Lesnar cash-in on him. Kofi soon followed and challenged the beast for a title bout. Lesnar refused to name his pick instead informing that the two would participate in the main event and Lesnar would keep an eye on the match.

The Show closed with Kofi and Rollins winning their tag team match only for Lesnar to walk out. However, he chose not to cash in and will instead choose his opponent tonight. Rumors suggest that he will challenge Seth to a match at Super Showdown; And it looks a very likely possibility too.
Also keep an eye out for any AEW disses or segments made to mock the new company.
