WWE Rumors: Kevin Owens Vs Shane McMahon inside a steel cage at SummerSlam could be the plan going ahead according to reports.
We live in a world where the top heel in WWE is Shane McMahon. As plucky and gutsy the McMahon scion is, it is about time he vacates the spot for someone that could carry the company for the next 10 years.

There were reports that the WWE had taken notice of fans displeasure with Shane being on TV so often. The company are reportedly even looking to take him off TV. It was reported that they wrote the KO pipe bomb last week to head in that direction.
A little storyline of sorts has been put into motion between the two as Shane continues to be a thorn in Owens’ side while the former Universal champion continues to attack him out of nowhere, verbally and physically. A little reminiscent of Vince’s own little feud with Stone Cold. Not so coincidentally, both of these insubordinate wrestlers tortured their boss with the stunner.
With Shane finally finished with his feud with The Miz and Roman Reigns, it looks like this McMahon and Owens clash is headed to SummerSlam. ProSportsExtra’s Brad Shepard has reported that the two will meet in a steel cage match come the biggest party of the summer.
I’m told WWE is discussing the idea of Kevin Owens vs. Shane McMahon at SummerSlam in a cage.

Not the first time
The two have previously fought inside a steel cage back in 2017. At the time, Owens was the heel while Shane was the good guy everyone cheered. Owens won the match after Sami Zayn turned heel to save his former friend.
If the match goes ahead as planned, will the result be any different? Hopefully not. A victory at SummerSlam could catapult Owens onto bigger things; possibly even keep Shane off of TV for some time.
SummerSlam will take place on August 11, 2019 at the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
