Brock Lesnar is a once in a generation freak of nature. The Beast Incarnate first made waves by conquering the NCAA Division I national championship in 2000. The WWE soon took notice and signed him before fast tracking him to the top of the summit. Brock Lesnar became the WWE Champion at the young age of 25, making him the youngest to ever win the title, a distinction he still holds. Lesnar then made his way to UFC, where he became their heavyweight Champion, becoming the first and only wrestler to win the WWE and UFC heavyweight Championships. Despite all his achievements, however, Khabib Nurmagomedov does not rate him very highly.

The UFC Hall of Famer did not hold back when talking about a potential encounter between Lesnar and his close friend Daniel Cormier. In fact, the Eagle brought up Lesnar’s past troubles with the USADA, when asked who he thought would win between the two former heavyweight champions.

Khabib Nurmagomedov once called out Brock Lesnar for cheating in the UFC

In a Q&A session with fans from Calgary back in 2018, Khabib Nurmagomedov addressed the potential fight between Brock Lesnar and DC. He claimed that Lesnar was outmatched in both striking and wrestling by Cormier before adding that the Beast Incarnate should first be clean before their match.

“If you talk about Brock Lesnar about striking or wrestling – how can he beat ‘DC’?” Nurmagomedov asked. “I don’t understand this. ‘DC’ is very tough guy… I think 99 percent ‘DC’ can beat him. Only one percent (Lesnar can win). This is my opinion. First of all, he has to come back, work out, and be clean.”

The Eagle was referring to Lesnar’s suspension by USADA following a doping violation back in 2016. The Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) confirmed that Lesnar had tested positive twice for clomiphene. He was fined $250,000 and suspended for a year.

His fight with Mark Hunt was also overturned to a no contest. Lesnar responded by retiring from MMA, but not before he teased a return to the octagon.

Brock Lesnar stormed into the Octagon at UFC 226

Brock Lesnar is not known for his promo work. For most of his WWE run, he had Paul Heyman do the talking while he went about dismantling and destroying his opponents in the ring. However, he proved he was quite capable of delivering a promo when he brought the WWE to UFC with his skirmish with DC inside the octagon after the main event at UFC 226.

Lesnar buried the entire heavyweight division before stating his intent to battle DC for the Heavyweight title. He said:

“Let me tell you somethin’. I have walked into this building and watched heavyweight disasters from the beginning. Ngannou is a piece of sh*t, Miocic is a piece of sh*t. DC, I’m coming for you mother****r.”

A day later, USADA confirmed that Lesnar was looking to get back into their testing pool. Unfortunately, nothing came of it, and the promo ended up becoming one of UFC’s biggest what ifs

DC eventually retired, closing the door on any possibility of a match between the two.

Like most combat sports enthusiasts, his passion for watching people fight began with WWE when he witnessed a young Brock Lesnar massacre Hulk Hogan back in 2002. This very passion soon branched out to boxing and mixed martial arts. Over the years he fell in love with the theatrics that preceded the bell and the poetic carnage that followed after. Each bruise a story to tell, each wound a song of struggle, his greatest desire is to be there to witness it all. His favorite wrestler is Shawn Michaels and he believes that GSP is the greatest to ever step foot inside the octagon. Apart from wrestling, he is also fond of poetry and music.
