There are only a few superstars in pro wrestling who can keep trending despite being away from the ring. Sasha Banks is one of them, and although WWE suspended her in May, The Boss has been in the talks regularly. Right now, the former women’s champion is making news for reportedly leaving WWE after the end of this month. In fact, she is rumored to sign with NJPW where Dave Meltzer asserts, she will earn more money than Chris Jericho used to.

Recently, Wrestling Observer‘s top journalist claimed Sasha Banks will be leaving WWE after her contract expires later this month. Meltzer also noted she will go to NJPW where in fact, her income will be more than what Jericho’s was. To be specific, he claimed NJPW used to pay Chris Jericho $100,00 per shot between 2018 and 2020.

However, The Painmaker has argued about the amount and even taken shots at WWE through social media.

Chris Jericho discusses how much he earned during his run with NJPW

The Painmaker recently took to his Twitter account and discussed what Dave Meltzer had said about his salary. In a lengthy tweet, Chris Jericho stated the figures about his NJPW salary are completely wrong. Moreover, he revealed that his deal was not on a flat per appearance. Chris Jericho further went on to share what kind of contract he had with NJPW.

The Painmaker stated he was paid according to the event and made more money than he did from the show of shows. Chris Jericho claimed his NJPW salary was more than most of his WrestleMania matches.

Without revealing what he earned, Chris Jericho smartly took shots at WWE. It was proof of the blunt nature that The Painmaker has. Though he has been going through some tough times in AEW recently.

The Painmaker recently suffered a loss against a debutant on AEW Dynamite

A week ago, at Final Battle, Chris Jericho lost his ROH title against Claudio Castagnoli. The time didn’t end there as he suffered a shocker on AEW Dynamite’s recent episode. At the Winter Is Coming edition, Chris Jericho went one-on-one with Action Andretti. Making his debut on AEW Dynamite, the debutant pulled off an upset by defeating The Painmaker.

Well, it appears things are not going well for the former AEW champion in the squared circle. Anyway, considering what Meltzer and Jericho claim, Sasha Banks surely will be making more money if she signs with NJPW. Though as of now, neither WWE nor The Boss has made any statement about her departure.
