Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson Claims There Isn’t Enough Time to Get Into Shape for WrestleMania 39
Ever since Roman Reigns turned heel, there has long been calls for him to face Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson at WrestleMania. However, the dream match has eluded fans for the last two years. Reigns put on a master class alongside Daniel Bryan and Edge back in 2021 and had a monstrous brawl with Brock Lesnar last year. Although, the match that everyone still wants is the clash between the two most influential Samoans in the WWE. Many believe that this may be the year it finally happens, recent reports, though, are not as encouraging.

Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson claims there isn’t enough time to get into shape for WrestleMania 39
Dave Meltzer reported in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, that the Rock may not be able to make it to WrestleMania this year. With the Royal Rumble set to take place later this month, the promotion reached out to the Hollywood star to confirm his participation at WrestleMania, so they could plan their main event.
However, they did not receive positive news. Meltzer wrote:
“We were told that unless he changes his mind in the next few days, since a deadline for Mania plans is coming, that he’s indicated he won’t have time to get into the kind of shape, he feels he needs to be in to do a main event match with Roman Reigns.”
Meltzer noted that the Brahma Bull kept the door open for a possible match, and stated that there was also a possibility that this was a work in order to keep his return a secret from the fans.
Will the Rock appear at RAW XXX?
There is no word on The Rock’s appearance at the upcoming reunion episode of Monday Night RAW. However, an interesting announcement was made last week that has fans wondering if the WWE hinted at his return.

Every generation of the Bloodline is set to appear on the show next week. The Brahma Bull is also part of the Samoan wrestling family and is very much a part of that bloodline.
This makes it very probable that the Rock may turn up on the show and sow the seeds for a future feud with his cousin that could culminate at the show of shows. At this point, however, this is all merely speculation.
