Since leaving the WWE, Dwayne Johnson has created a whole separate legacy of his own in Hollywood. Gone are the days of the loudmouth heel, the Brahma Bull is now a bankable action movie star with a proven track record.
In fact, there’s a whole sleuth of fans right now who do not even know that Johnson was once a WWE Superstar. They only know him through the movies he’s starred in. Is Vince McMahon richer than Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson?
Dwayne Johnson has been part of several high-profile movies, such as Jumanji and the Fast and the Furious franchise. . He usually makes around $100 million from films and endorsements. In 2012, he launched Seven Bucks Productions with his now-ex-wife, Dany Garcia. The company manages all of his social media platforms.
Apart from this, he also has a 30-40% stake in Teremana Tequila. The company is estimated to be around $3 – $3.5 billion. If true, that would mean, that the Rock would pocket at least over a billion before paying his taxes, in case they sell the company, which would massively add to his $800 million net worth.
Even so, however, he would fall short of his mentor Vince McMahon.
The WWE patriarch sits comfortably ahead of his protégé with a hefty $2.5 Billion net worth. Most, if not all, of his money comes from the WWE itself. The 77-year-old has a monthly salary of $9 Million+, which means he makes over a $100 million at least per year.
Will The Rock appear at WrestleMania 39?
Since Roman Reigns turned heel at SummerSlam 2020 and started calling himself the tribal chief, fans have wondered if he will come face to face with his cousin. The Rock has himself hinted several times the possibility of a match between the two.
The pair was originally believed to be on a collision course at last year’s WrestleMania. However, plans were seemingly changed after the location of WrestleMania 39 was revealed. With the upcoming show of shows scheduled to take place in Hollywood, rumor mills are abuzz with the prospect of this humungous clash.
While nothing has been confirmed as of yet, many believe that the Samoan cousins will square up with each other come the time of Wrestling Christmas.
