With stars like Andrade and CM Punk waiting for their way out, it appears Tony Khan has agreed to release a WWE Hall of Famer. William Regal, who made his AEW debut in March, might be heading to WWE soon. Although the rumors started to spread since last week’s Dynamite, Dave Meltzer’s latest report is confirming the news. In fact, according to a former WWE superstar, the Hall of Famer regretted his decision the day he signed with the company.
The recent episode of Dynamite saw MJF turning more heel and hitting a brass knuckle punch on his latest ally. After that segment, it was widely believed that it was AEW’s way of writing Regal off the TV for good.

Although neither AEW nor the Hall of Famer has made any official statement as of now, it seems his journey there is over. And considering EC3’s claim, there may be more revelations on the way regarding the whole matter.
Nevertheless, Regal is now reportedly a free agent and could be on his way back to the WWE.
During the recent edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer provided more insights about the AEW status of William Regal.
