India and Bangladesh will be locking horns tomorrow when they face each in the semi finals of the ICC Champions Trophy. The defending champions will start as favourites ahead of the match, but India should know better than to under estimate Bangladesh. According to reports, Yuvraj Singh is being targeted by the Bangladesh camp ahead of the semi final match.

Bangladesh used to be the whipping boys of international cricket for a very long time. But things have changed over the last few years, as Bangladesh have shaken off that tag thanks to some wonderful performances against the best teams in the world.

Their performances in the 2015 World Cup showed that they are a side that was maturing and could not be taken lightly. Eminent cricket commentator, Harsha Bhogle called them a side that was taking giant steps in international cricket, and the proof can be seen in this Champions Trophy.

Their victory over New Zealand showed that they deserved to be in this tournament, and you would be naive to think that India are already through to the finals.

India would do well to remember the 2007 World Cup, where a shock opening match defeat to Bangladesh saw them exit the group stage in embarrassing fashion.

And had it not been for a calamitous ‘choke’, Bangladesh would have beaten India in the World T20 last year in Bengaluru. But they wish to change that this time around, as Bangladesh have made elaborate plans for India.

They have identified Yuvraj Singh as the weak link in the squad, as they look to target him in the match. They also feel that the southpaw is the weakest fielder in the side and will look to take capitalize on his below par fielding. With India’s top three looking in brilliant touch, Bangladesh will need to get past them and only then worry about Yuvi !
