The opening ceremony of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 is set to be the most extravagant and illustrious event till date. Looking to enthrall the 4,000 live audience and the televised audience from all over the world, the World Cup party is set to be a riveting festival of sport and music this evening.

With one of the most prestigious locations being nailed down on for the event, the Mall which has hosted some of the biggest names and functions recently will host the ceremony.

The Mall in London as a venue paired with the Buckingham Palace as a backdrop are set to make for a pristine viewing to all the spectators tuning in to watch the ceremony which saw tickets being accorded for it on a ballot basis with the each lucky winner being given two tickets for the event to maintain a streamlined process.
Each team to be represented by one celebrity and sportsperson
Although the ICC tried their best to keep the details of the opening ceremony or the opening party as they’ve named it an unknown entity, details of the event have started streaming in as we head closer to the event. As per reports doing the rounds, the one-hour ceremony which begins at 9:30 PM (IST) will be a seamless blend of sports and entertainment.
With some of the biggest names from the dance, music and sporting fraternity set to grace one of the most revered events in the country, the event has everything laid out to be an emphatic one.
UK’s famous Rudimental band which was also responsible for the ravishing official song of the World Cup, Anthem is set to perform at the event with Comedian Paddy McGuinness responsible for providing the attendees with the ‘celebration of cricket, music and culture’.
Each of the 10 participating countries will be represented by a celebrity and a sportsperson with details having emerged for the hosts who will have Kevin Pietersen and Love Island’s Chris Hughes present as their faces for the night.
Several coveted ex-cricketers are said to grace the occasion with their alluring presence but the current crop of players will skip the event in a bid to not drain themselves before business gets underway come tomorrow.
