WATCH: Chris Gayle celebrates jubilantly after brilliant fielding effort vs India in 2019 Cricket World Cup
Chris Gayle celebrates jubilantly: The Universe Boss put on display another agile fielding effort against India at Old Trafford.
During the 34th match of the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 between West Indies and India at Old Trafford, veteran West Indies opening batsman Chris Gayle dived brilliantly to stop a potential boundary hit by India captain Virat Kohli.
It happened on the second delivery of the 20th over when Kohli hit a cut off West Indies all-rounder Fabed Allen. The ball seemed to go between point and short third-man. However, Gayle ran to his right from short third-man to dive and stop the ball.
Having successfully done the same, the 39-year old cricketer was seen with his arms aloft as if he was acknowledging the crowd for their response to his dive.
It is worth mentioning that this isn’t the first time in the tournament when Gayle’s gestures have become a source of amazement for fans. In previous matches against England and New Zealand, Gayle was witnessed in a similay jolly mood.
After Kohli won the toss and chose to bat, India didn’t make the most of the opportunity as they have scored 186/5 in 40 overs. With wicket-keeper batsman Mahendra Singh Dhoni and all-rounder Hardik Pandya in the middle, India would be hoping for them to finish the innings on a high note.

Virat Kohli is just amazing! 20,000 runs already. How does he do this so consistently?! So much to learn, this is beyond cricket … it’s about professionalism, credibility, responsibility. None of us can afford to slack at our jobs, he treats his batting in the same way ✌🏻

India’s middle-muddle is for real. There’s simply too much dependency on Kohli-Rohit. Dhawan is being missed…. #IndvWI #CWC19
