Yuvraj Singh and Kevin Pietersen: The two retired cricketers were seen getting involved in hilarious exchanges on social media platform Twitter.

During the 40th match of the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 between Bangladesh and India at Edgbaston, India vice-captain Rohit Sharma scored his 26th ODI century to lay a solid foundation for him team.

Opening the batting with Lokesh Rahul, Sharma stitched a mammoth 180-run opening stand which was eventually broken by Bangladesh all-rounder Soumya Sarkar in the 30th over.

In what was his third consecutive ODI century, it saw Sharma becoming the highest run-scorer in the tournament. Other than getting a reprieve in the fifth over, Sharma’s innings saw him dominating the Bangladeshi bowlers at will.

While Sharma’s innings saw him enticing plentiful praises on social media platform Twitter, former India all-rounder Yuvraj Singh and former India batsman Kevin Pietersen exchanged funny messages with each over Sharma’s century.

After Sharma’s century against Pakistan earlier in the tournament, Yuvraj had tweeted about having a conversation with him regarding converting starts into significant innings and how Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar had conveyed the same message to him before ICC Cricket World Cup 2019.

After Sharma’s century in this match Yuvraj spoke on similar lines as he further strengthened his prediction of Sharma winning the Man of the Series in the tournament. However, Yuvraj saw Pietersen speaking of the otherwise.

Pietersen, who has been backing England to win the title since the first day, was reminded by Yuvraj that his words will come true only after England will qualify for the semi-finals. With five wins in eight matches so far, England haven’t qualified for the semi-finals as of now. A loss in their last match against New Zealand at Chester-le-Street tomorrow will make things difficult for the hosts.
