Brad Hodge finally apologizes to Kohli

Hodge had earlier questioned Kohli’s integrity and hoped that he was not risking his shoulder for the IPL as compared to playing for his country in the fourth test match against Australia.

“You’d hope as a sportsman that he’s seriously injured,” Hodge told Fox Sports News’ Gameday Live.

“I’m hopeful, as a Gujarat Lions coach, that when we play RCB in a couple of weeks that he’s not playing. (Brad Hodge finally apologizes to Kohli)

“Because if you miss one game of Test match cricket and you’re fronting up the next week for RCB versus whoever, at Bangalore, Chinnaswamy Stadium…

“You’d be pretty dirty if he didn’t front up to a Test match and try and win a valuable series against Australia.

Hodge’s comments were in line with a series of sneaky remarks that the Australians had made towards the Indian skipper along the course of the recently concluded test series.

Gautam Gambhir had publicly backed Virat Kohli and he said that Hodge needs to keep quiet if he does not know the full story.

“I feel someone who is playing for the country and captaining India would never want to miss a Test match and would definitely want to play for India more than any other tournament. That has always been the case and knowing Virat, he would have never done that,” the left-hander told CNN News 18.

“But if you don’t know the person, you don’t know the extent of the injury, you should not be talking about it,” Gambhir added. (Brad Hodge finally apologizes to Kohli)

But Hodge has now apologized through Twitter to both Kohli and the Indian cricket team.
