Travis Head dismissal vs England: Veteran English fast bowler dismissed the Australian co vice-captain with an unplayable delivery.

During the first day of the third Test of the ongoing 2019 Ashes series between England and Australia at Headingley, veteran England fast bowler Stuart Broad brought back his team into the match after he dismissed Australia co vice-captain Travis Head with an unplayable delivery.

It all happened on the penultimate delivery of the 33rd over when Broad beat Head all ends up. With the ball moving away from the batsman after pitching, the slight movement was enough to deceive Head who was aiming to play a drive on the sixth ball that he faced.

With the ball swinging away to hit the top of off-stump came as a delightful dismissal for the hosts, who have successfully reduced the visitors from 136/2 to 139/5. Head, who came in to bat at No. 5, walked back without scoring.

Broad, who had earlier dismissed Australia batsman Usman Khawaja (8) in the ninth over, secured his second wicket in the form of Head.

A 111-run partnership for the third wicket between Australia opening batsman David Warner and all-rounder Marnus Labuschagne had laid the foundation for a handsome first-innings Australian score. However, English new-ball bowlers in Broad and Jofra Archer coming back into the attack came good for England.

Having won the toss and chose to field, England captain Joe Root would be desperate for such a performance in the last session of Day 1.
