MS Dhoni likely to visit JSCA Stadium in Ranchi during 3rd India vs South Africa Test, reports claim
MS Dhoni visit JSCA Stadium in Ranchi: The third Test of the ongoing series will be played in the hometown of the legendary cricketer.
The third and last Test of the ongoing South Africa’s tour of India will be played at the JSCA International Stadium Complex in Ranchi from October 19. Among the newest cricketing venues in India, Ranchi will host its second Test after making its Test debut during the home series against Australia in 2017.
Among the Indian cricketers, Cheteshwar Pujara had scored a double century and wicket-keeper batsman Wriddhiman Saha had scored a century. As far as the Indian bowlers are concerned, all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja was the pick of them with nine wickets in the drawn match.

Will MS Dhoni visit JSCA Stadium in Ranchi?
It is impossible that a match in Ranchi is scheduled without any discussion regarding former India captain and current wicket-keeper batsman Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Having last played for India during the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019, Dhoni has stayed away from the game.
It is believed that the 38-year old cricketer will be marked in attendance during the Ranchi Test. Given his stature and fan-following, Dhoni’s mere presence is likely to motivate his fans to visit the stadium for the match.
In an interview with The Telegraph, JSCA (Jharkhand State Cricket Association) President Ajay Nath opened up on the ticketing prices, free passes and whether Dhoni would visit the stadium to watch the match or not.

“We are not going to offer any concession for ticket prices as the rates are quite reasonable. Passes will be distributed to Indian Army, paramilitary and Jharkhand police personnel as well as to cricket clubs and academies across the state.
“We will allow cricket lovers to watch the practice sessions provided formal and written requests made in advance. Also, those allowed for watching the practice session would have to remain in the demarcated areas only. I am aware that [MS] Dhoni has given his consent to watch the game,” Nath was quoted as saying.
