Jonty Rhodes hilariously responds to Harbhajan Singh’s suggestion: The former South African cricketer is currently shooting in Mumbai.

Having drawn the three-match T20I series 1-1, the South African cricket team was expected to give a tough competition in the Test series. With them losing the first two Tests, they have converted the imminent Ranchi Test into a dead-rubber.

Had it not been for the ongoing ICC World Test Championship, there wouldn’t have been much buzz around the Test match. With opening batsman Aiden Markram and spinner Keshav Maharaj ruled out of the third Test, the visitors are expected to make several changes to their squad.

It is worth mentioning that South Africa have become the second team (after West Indies) to have lost their first two Tests of the World Test Championship.

Jonty Rhodes hilariously responds to Harbhajan Singh’s suggestion

The non-match days witnessed a hilarious conversation between former South Africa batsman Jonty Rhodes and veteran India spinner Harbhajan Singh on social media platform Instagram.

It all started after Rhodes posted a photo of him shooting in the iconic Mehbob Studio in Mumbai. “Feels good to be back in the green and gold, even if it is only for a shoot at the iconic Mehboob Studio in Mumbai,” read the caption of Rhodes Instagram’s post.

Considering the condition of South Africa’s current batting lineup, Harbhajan Singh poked fun at Rhodes asking him to play the Ranchi Test as South Africa needed some batting. In reply, Rhodes declined the suggestion stating that South Africa need much more than him.

The third Test between India and South Africa will begin from October 19 at the JSCA International Stadium Complex in Ranchi.
