Kumar Sangakara includes only one Indian in his all time playing XI
Kumar Sangakara includes only one Indian cricketer in his all-time World playing XI, Australian and Sri Lankan names dominate the list.
Kumar Sangakara had an illustrious career, and have played different generations in this sport throughout his 134 test matches, 404 ODI matches, 56 T20 matches.
After all this, Sri Lankan legend declares his all-time playing XI and most of the players in the list belong to the previous decade or had peak years in those years.
Sangakara has opted for hard hitting left-handed batsmen from Australia – Matthew Hayden. Along with him, he has chosen Rahul Dravid to open with Hayden, the Indian cricketer is a legend of the sport and also known as the Wall.
Surprisingly, Sangakara has only chosen one Indian in the list and surprisingly excluded Sachin Tendulkar, who is also known as the god of the cricket.
Down in the order, Sangakara has gone for Brian Lara. Meanwhile, in the middle order Ricky Ponting, former Sri Lankan captain Arvinda de Silva and Jacques Kallis are placed by Sangakara.
Further, Adam Gilchrist has been picked up as the wicket-keeping batsman. In the bowling department, Sangakara has gone for decisive pair of spinners- Shane Warne and Muttiah Muralitharan- also considered to be the greatest spinners of all time.
In the tail end, Wasim Akram and Chaminda Vaas complete the list. Hence, this is the final list by Sangakara as he declares his all-time playing XI in the process.
