Watch: Harmanpreet Kaur take sensational one-handed catch to dismiss Stafanie Taylor
Watch: Harmanpreet Kaur take a sensational one-handed catch against West Indies to dismiss explosive batswoman Stafanie Taylor at 94.
India played its first ODI in the series against West Indies, and Stafanie Taylor was at 94 when the last ball of her team’s innings was left. Thus, it was obvious that Taylor would go for the maximum.
On the other end, it was Ekta Bisht, who delivered a flighted delivery towards off stump and Taylor came dancing down the track to hit a six. The ball connected with the bat correctly and it seemed that the ball will pass the boundary line.
The ball was about to reach the boundary at long-on but just then only, India’s star batswoman Harmanpreet Kaur came flying in and caught the ball with one hand to deny Taylor her ton.
Harmanpreet Kaur came running in from the left side, timed her jump to perfection and pulled off an absolute blinder. Moreover, what made her catch even more iconic was that she attempted it to catch it through her weaker hand.
As soon as Harmanpreet Kaur took the catch, she fell on the ground but made that her body does not touch the ropes. Although, catch from Kaur did deny Talor her century but it did not help India in the final result.

India as they lost the thrilling first ODI by just one run. Chasing 226, India were all out for 224 on the very last ball of the match. Batting first, the hosts rode on Taylor’s 94 to put on a challenging total of 225 for 7.
Even though Taylor did not score a hundred to decorate her record but she surely played a crucial role in stabilizing her team’s innings, as West Indies kept losing wickets, after marking solid 51 on the scoreboard. But Taylor’s 94 helped her team to give a tough target of 226 by the end.
