WATCH: Virat Kohli grabs terrific running catch to dismiss Shimron Hetmyer in Thiruvananthapuram T20I
Virat Kohli grabs terrific running catch: The Indian captain’s athletic effort saw him dismissing the in-form West Indian batsman.
During the second T20I of the ongoing West Indies’ tour of India in Thiruvananthapuram, India captain Virat Kohli put on display a terrific fielding effort to send back West Indies batsman Shimron Hetmyer.
It all happened on the fourth delivery of the 14th over when Hetmyer hit a Ravindra Jadeja delivery down the ground. Having already hit two consecutive sixes, the first impression was regarding the southpaw hitting his third six in a row.
However, it was an exceptional catch was Kohli which came in between Hetmyer and his third six. Running a significant distance to his right, Kohli stretched out his hands to catch the ball.

While most fielders tend to drop the ball after falling down in such a situation, Kohli made sure that he neither drops the ball nor touches the boundary ropes. Coming in to bat at No. 3 in the 10th over, Hetmyer ended up scoring 23 (14) with the help of three fours.
After West Indies captain Kieron Pollard won the toss and invited India in to bat, the hosts scored 170/7 in their allotted quota of 20 overs.
All-rounder Shivam Dube top-scored for India on the back of his maiden T20I half-century. Promoted to No. 3 by the team management, the southpaw scored 54 (30) with the help of three fours and four sixes. With bowling figures of 4-0-28-2, West Indies spinner Hayden Walsh Jr. was the pick of the West Indian bowlers.
