Rashid Khan scores 40 runs in just 18 balls, shows blistering form
Rashid Khan scores 40 runs in just 18 ball for his BBL side Adelaide Strikers making some brilliant shots, yet his side lost by 3 runs.
The BBL is at the peak phase of its current season and amidst all of this, spectators got to see sensational knock by Afghan cricketer Rashid Khan against Sydney Thunder.
Rashid scored 40 runs in just 18 balls for his side Adelaide Strikers. Although the Afghan player made a great knock yet he could not make his side win against Sydney Thunder who won by 3 runs.
Nevertheless, it was a magnificent inning by Rashid, whose primary job is with the ball and not with the bat. But the player has conveyed several times that he enjoys batting more than bowling.
This time he has truly shown that he is as good with the bat as good he is with the ball. In the 19th over, match intensified as Rashid kept the drama alive by hitting 4, 6, 4 to reduce the deficit to 14 before the last over.
He then crunched Chris Morris for two consecutive boundaries to drag it down to five off two. While scampering back for the second run on the fifth ball of the over, Rashid was run out.
Amidst all of this, there were some unconventional shots by Rashid. He even swept the ball for six in the 19th over which was a bit unexpected and then later he used the same shot to hit a four.

Unfortunately, this all went to vain as Adelaide Strikers still lost the game. But it was the first defeat for the team in this edition of the BBL, on the other hand, Rashid can be promoted upwards in the further matches considering his explosive batting.
