Real Madrid superstar Eden Hazard set to miss rest of season, claims Belgium coach
Real Madrid star forward Eden Hazard is set to miss the rest of the season as claimed by Belgium’s coach Roberto Martinez.
Eden Hazard left the pitch in the second half of La Liga game against Levante after he picked an injury. The Belgian International recently recovered from his previous injury but had to attend the medical room after less than two appearances.
The Belgian International suffered a fracture to his right distal fibula. There has been no confirmation from Real Madrid’s side about his return but Belgium’s coach Roberto Martinez reportedly told that the 28-year-old star is likely to miss rest of the season.
Martinez told reporters: “We are very sad because this injury will leave him out of action for at least three months. A footballer like Eden should always be on the pitch. We have excellent communication with Real Madrid’s medical staff and we are anxious about Eden.”
“It’s a shame because it has also happened before an important game as that of Manchester City,” said Martinez. With the season only limiting till May, Hazard would probably miss all the games for Real Madrid, if going by the words of Martinez.
Injuries have limited Hazard to only 15 games in all competitions since joining Los Blancos from Chelsea in a £150 million move last summer.
Even though Hazard might end up playing sooner for Real Madrid in this season, but he will most probably miss the crucial tie against the English giants.
On the other hand, it is a big blow for their La Liga title hopes, as Los Blancos were in a close-knitted competition with Barcelona, and this may cost them the race, as they are now already trailing 3 points behind Barcelona in the table after Levante defeat.

With Euro 2020 closing by, even Martinez would be hoping for quick recovery of Hazard, who would undoubtedly play an important role in their campaign.
