“I wouldn’t want to go to it”- John Wall releases statement in support of Kyrie Irving on NBA restart
John Wall has voiced his opinion on the NBA restart and how he sides with Kyrie Irving on the situation
Washington Wizards guard John Wall has had numerous battles with Kyrie Irving on the court, however, he remains with him in what has become NBA’s top off-court storyline, the 2019-20 NBA season restart in Orlando, Florida.
Wall is out till the next season because of ruptured Achilles tendon but said that he wouldn’t play if he was fit on The Tuff Juice Podcast. John is on the Kyrie Irving side and disagrees with the majority of NBA players like LeBron James, Austin Rivers, and Danny Green who are eager to go out on the court when the NBA returns.

What does John Wall feel about the NBA restart?
“For me, if I was playing, I wouldn’t want to go to it, to be honest. I just don’t feel like it’s safe. I just don’t feel like it is. I understand why they want to do it and what they’re trying to get to, but I wouldn’t want to,” Wall said.
John Wall agrees with Kyrie and says a lot of players feel that way
“. . . with all this Black Lives Matter going on and protesting and trying to get justice and all that; a lot of people feel like it’s not safe to go there. That’s what he stands on.”

Wall and Irving are among the best Point Guards in the Eastern Conference and were the No. 1 draft pick in back-to-back years.
John has a special place for Kyrie in his heart and is a huge admirer of his game.
John Wall’s words for Kyrie Irving
“Kyrie has his things where he be in his own world… ‘The Earth is flat,'” he said.
“But to be honest, I think he has a point. A lot of people feel that way. I think that’s why they tried to get on that call to see how many people really want to go play and how many people don’t want to play. Because with all this ‘Black Lives Matter’ going on and protesting and trying to get justice and all that; a lot of people feel like it’s not safe to go there. That’s what he stands on.” he explained in the Podcast.
The Wizards are among the 22 teams that have been invited to the Walt Disney World for the restart. They are currently 5.5 games behind the Orlando Magic for the number 8 seed. The Wizards will find it tough to qualify for the Playoffs as they would need to be within four games the eight-seeded team and then beat it twice in a row.
