Mick Brown has in the past been the head coach of both the LA Lakers and Cleveland Cavaliers. He was previously with the Cavaliers in two separates stints, the second one a reunion tour in 2013.
With the Los Angeles Lakers, he had a stint from 2011 to 2013, getting fired in only his second season. Brown joined the Golden State Warriors back in 2016 as an assistant coach and is now the associate head coach with Steve Kerr.
Mick Brown started his professional coaching career with the Washington Wizards as an assistant coach. He had the same role with the San Antonio Spurs from 2000, working with Gregg Popovich to win a championship in 2003. He then worked for a couple of seasons at Indiana Pacers, before his move to the Cavaliers.
The Knicks search is off and running
The New York Knicks head coaching role search has been going on for some time now. They are expected to interview around 8-10 candidates, including Mike Brown.
Dallas Mavericks assistant Jamahl Mosley and Orlando Magic assistant Pat Delany are also in the fray. They are also considering former Chicago Bulls and Minnesota Timberwolves head coach Tom Thibodeau.
