The WWE are reportedly interested in signing former Impact Wrestling World Champion Tessa Blanchard. The recently fired star is the first female wrestler to hold the number one Men’s singles titles across all major wrestling promotions around the world.

Blanchard was scheduled to defend her title against multiple opponents at the Slammiversary Pay Per View event. However, following a failure to come to an agreement over a new contract, Blanchard was stripped of the title and eventually let go.
Dave Meltzer noted on the Wrestling Observer Radio that the WWE has “sent feelers out” to contact Tessa about potentially working together. It is unclear if the AEW are looking to add her to their roster as well. However, Blanchard is currently in Mexico with a travel ban in place.
There are also issues surrounding her past behaviour. In fact, she has worked with the WWE in the 2017 Mae Young Classic. She lost to Kairi Saine in the first round. The WWE however, passed on signing her to a developmental deal because of “attitude issues”.
The racial allegations made against her doesn’t help her case either.
AEW’s Cody Rhodes has previously expressed his interest in bringing her to the promotion. However, with the promotion trying to come across as more liberal and inclusive than Vince McMahon’s promotion, it will be interesting to see if the company go for someone with Blanchard’s past.
