Emoni Bates Michigan State: Young sensation confirms where he will play college basketball
Emoni Bates has confirmed that he’ll be playing college basketball for Michigan state, in what was one of the most anticipated announcements in college basketball.
Emoni Bates is considered as the best high school talent and now he will be playing for the Spartans (Michigan State Basketball Team). “As I do know right now, I will be committing to Michigan State University,” said Emoni in an interview to SportsCenter.
Emoni Bates’ Father’s thoughts on Michigan State
Bates is ranked No.1 in the ESPN 60 for the class of 2022. Emoni’s father, Elgin Bates told ESPN that Michigan State is showing love to his son from grade seventh and the school is the best fit for Emoni.

Elgin said that “Coach [Tom] Izzo and Coach [Mike] Garland and that entire MSU staff has been showing love since his seventh-grade year. They’ve been very consistent, They really have a genuine care for him and the family. They care for him, not only as a player but as a person. That’s really big for us as a family and for him as a player.”

At Lincoln High School, Bates has led his team to the state championship and was honored with Michigan Gatorade Player of the Year and MaxPreps National Freshman of the Year.
