“This is ridiculous! Enough is enough…”: Donovan Mitchell has a strong reaction to Jazz fans mouthing off Ja Morant and his family
Jazz star guard Donovan Mitchell is angered by the disrespect fans showed towards Ja Morant and his family last night during Game 2
The NBA is almost a week deep into its playoffs for the season. Playoffs are the time of the year when fans double down on the support they have for their teams. With the NBA allowing more fans to enter the arenas, depending on the vaccination status, the arenas are back to being loud. However, having fans back isn’t always all good. There were multiple instances yesterday when the fans were disruptive and unruly.
There were instances of a fan throwing popcorn at Westbrook, and then a fan spitting on Trae Young. Ja Morant‘s father disclosed how his wife and he himself had received explicit remarks from Jazz fans as well.
Ja Morant’s father said Jazz fan made a sexually explicit remark at his wife, according to ESPN. Another fan said, ‘I’ll put a nickel in your back and watch you dance, boy,’ in front of his own daughter.
Other Jazz fans confronted those fans and alerted security. pic.twitter.com/64Y3CfZTbd

Donovan Mitchell demands a strict action
No matter how passionate a fan is, they should never show unruly behavior towards a player. With all the events that occurred yesterday, we saw fans being disrespectful towards players and their families. While fans chanting and trying to throw the opponent players off their game is still considered ok, making derogatory remarks isn’t.
Donovan Mitchell, when he found out about what happened to Ja Morant’s family, was beyond angered.
I’m glad those fans were banned and they should never be allowed back…. this is ridiculous!!! The fact that these words are being thrown around to players and there families is ridiculous! Enough is enough smh! https://t.co/rfzj0T1W1r

The NBA needs to warrant stricter action against such unruly fans. They need to make sure no fan ever thinks about doing such things ever again.
