Sean O’Malley Tries to Draw His UFC 252 Opponent’s Attention, has eyes on a Title Shot

Sean O’Malley has tried to draw the attention of Marlon Vera, his UFC 252 opponent. And also has set his sights on the Ultimate Gold .

After the successful culmination of UFC 251, the next in line in the intermittent series is UFC 252. The main card of the event is almost confirmed, though modifications and augmentation can still take place.

One of the main fights of the night is the Bantamweight fight between Sean O’Malley and Marlon Vera. In the build-up of the fight, O’Malley who is known for his antics, has this time tried to use his hair as a weapon to get on the nerves of his Ecuadorian opponent.

Sean O’Malley claims that fight against Marlon Vera is going to be his toughest yet, but also believes he is going to come out with a victory again. In a conversation with MMA Junkie, the 25-year-old had some words about his upcoming fight and his opponent, and said;

“I think this fight against ‘Chito’ will really kind of get to show – you know, it’s hard to show your skills when you’re knocking dudes out in two minutes. It’s like, some people might see it as that was a lucky punch, or that was whatever, but I think ‘Chito’ might be able to absorb some extra punishment. So I’ll be able to show more of my skills and be more of a threat, and people will realize that. I think some guys look at my skills and they’re like, ‘OK, yeah, he’s for real.’ Some don’t. So I think this next fight will get to show a lot.”

Sean O’Malley Has His Eyes Set On The Bantamweight Title

Sean O’Malley a.k.a. Sugar exhibited confidence about his bright future, and further added;“I win a couple more fights, I’m that guy,” O’Malley said of a potential title shot. “I’m the guy that people are going to want to see the bantamweight champ. I’m only a couple fights away from the title, if you look at the rankings, they don’t really matter…I think those top four dudes, Sterling, Yan, Cory, Marlon, those four dudes are killers, they’re high-level black belts in MMA but no one’s talking about them. No one is like ‘that’s the dude’, no one is that interesting.”

“I’m that guy,” O’Malley said. “I’m the guy that’s going to knock these dudes out, get my title shot, and I’m going to be champ and it’s going to be people want to see me there. It’s going to be exciting.”

Sean O’Malley has a 12-o MMA record, and August 15, 2020, will witness whether he’ll be able to walk the talk or not.
