Sebastian Vettel Ferrari relationship: Kimi Raikkonen speaks about Vettel’s failed relationship with Ferrari
Kimi Raikkonen has spoken about the Sebastian Vettel situation at Ferrari, after the latter was asked to leave at the end of the season.
Sebastian Vettel and Ferrari ware supposed to be a dream team. Vettel has immense admiration for Ferrari, and its greatest ever driver Michael Schumacher.
He had joined the Italian outfit to emulate the success of his compatriot and idol Schumacher. Considering Schumacher has 7 world titles, and Vettel 4, there was genuine optimism that Vettel could break the record while he was at Ferrari.
But here we are in 2020, and Vettel is in his last season in Ferrari. And yes, he hasn’t added to his tally of 4 world titles he won at Red Bull. What’s worse, there are reports of things not being all too well between Vettel and his employers.

Kimi Raikkonen on Sebastian Vettel’s relationship with Ferrari
But former teammate Kimi Raikkonen says it’s a case of much ado about nothing. He was Vettel’s teammate at Ferrari from 2014 to 2018, enough to have a good understanding of both parties involved. This is what he had to say, in conversation with Motorsport-total.com
“I spoke to him briefly during the first race weekend, we met before the start. I don’t know much else either. What’s happening doesn’t worry me that much. I doubt if they have such a bad relationship as many people now claim.”
He also says it’s natural that things can go up and down in a team. He would know best, as he himself had troubling times in his first stint at Ferrari. Then, he had to compromise because a certain sponsor wanted Latin drivers Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa. He returned for a second stint, and is confident his old team will turn things around.
“Sometimes it’s like a team falls apart when it’s decided not to continue. We’re going to see what the future brings. I am confident that Ferrari will recover. It was a difficult start, but Ferrari has a strong team”.
