Nico Rosberg opines there is something fundamentally wrong with Sebastian Vettel’s car
Nico Rosberg opines that there is something wrong with Sebastian Vettel’s car; claims he is not even half a second slower than Charles Leclerc.
Amidst the controversy around Sebastian Vettel’s outing in the 70th Anniversary Grand Prix at Silverstone. Nico Rosberg has come in to defend his former rival after the latter brought P12, whereas his teammate Charles Leclerc came P4.
According to Rosberg, there is something fundamentally wrong with Vettel’s car as he believes that he is not even half a second slower than the Monegasque driver.
Rosberg to RTL: “Seb’s team radio shows how tense the situation at Ferrari is. But he should fight now, also as a sign to possible future teams. He has to put his foot down at Ferrari and ask for a new car!”
“Sebastian is one of the best drivers of all time and he is not half a second slower than Charles. There must be something fundamentally wrong with the car. Sebastian just has to assert himself now.”
Vettel hardly had a glorious run in Formula 1 this season. Vettel has even signalled a sense of partiality towards Leclerc by Ferrari, with the German set to leave the team after the end of the season.
Accusations and poor planning
Vettel after the race openly criticized Ferrari for its tactics during the last set of the laps, which allegedly made him lose his position against his nearby competitiors.
“I guess something is there that I’m missing so I’m not sure what it is.
“Nevertheless I try to get out of bed and do as best as I can”
