Valtteri Bottas shares funny radio moment with his race engineer
Valtteri Bottas shares a funny radio moment with his race engineer while participating in the first practice session of the Spanish Grand Prix.
Valtteri Bottas dominated the first practice session of the day, but there was a strange yet funny moment broadcasted where his radio connection with his race engineer was weak and the communication between both parties was sort of not clear.
But, Bottas’ race engineer saw the funny side of it and gave a funny response, which can make anyone chuckle. On the other hand, it will only remain with Bottas what he really wanted to speak.
It happened when Bottas’ race engineer asked for a radio check. And in response, we could only hear gushing voices, probably because of a weak signal.
To which race engineer replied, “That was pretty shocking”. Sparking a social media trend, where this footage went viral.
Bottas really said that huh?? Just speaking his mind✨ pic.twitter.com/qSzpOsrPl6

Valtteri Bottas on Day 1
Bottas had an excellent start to the day, where he ended up fastest on the grid during the FP1. In the FP2, he just slipped to only 1 position below as his teammate Lewis Hamilton took the first position.
Going into the second day, only Mercedes and Red Bull are looking in contention for the pole. Charles Leclerc has made brief appearances at the podium in between but Ferrari is no match to Mercedes and Red Bull so far this season.
Renault looks solid heading into tomorrow’s qualifying session, while Haas’ Romain Grosjean could be the dark horse this weekend. Sergio Perez was decent on track considering he just recovered from COVID-19.

It remains to be seen what happens in the qualifying when all 10 teams will lock heads once again.
