‘Michele Roberts is like family- Pat Beverley rubbishes reports of disrespecting Roberts; addresses NBA Boycott

Patrick Beverley says the Clippers have their focus solely on NBA championship. He also laughed off rumours of him  disrespecting Michelle Roberts.

Given his on-court reputation as a pest and a defensive ace, and his past of having injured Russell Westbrook in the playoffs, it is easy to mistake Beverley as a confrontational guy. But he responded to the media in a calm, collected demeanor contrary to public expectations.

The Clippers currently are primed to enter the second round of the NBA playoffs, having secured a 3-2 series lead against the Mavericks. They have, however, found it tough to contain Luka Doncic’s brilliance. That was indeed the task uppermost in Patrick Beverley’s mind as he addressed those present at the Clippers’ press conference today.

When asked about what went down in the NBPA meeting on Wednesday and whether he did really confront executive director Michelle Roberts, Beverley was whimsical.

He spoke about how ‘Michele Roberts’ was family and that they had a very healthy debate about the ongoing situation. Beverley admitted that the duo did not agree with each other, but arguments/dialogue is essential when one is discussing things of this magnitude.

The Clippers are considered as the best and most complete roster in the Western Conference. Many experts have picked them to reach the NBA Finals this postseason, probably winning it all.
