“I Don’t Give a S— About Aleksandar Rakic”, Anthony Smith is Motivated About UFC Vegas 8
Anthony Smith is motivated about his upcoming bout at UFC Vegas 8. The 32-year-old is set to face Aleksandar Rakic in the Co-Main event of the fight night.
Anthony Smith, who is going to make his second Octagon appearance in 3 months, is in good spirits about his forthcoming Light Heavyweight battle against Aleksandar Rakic. Smith lost to Glover Teixeira in May, via a fifth round TKO, but has evidently recovered quickly to again set foot in the ring.
On August 29, the Lionheart (33-15), will face 28-year-old Aleksandar Rakic (12-2), who is making a comeback of sorts and has substantially lesser experience in comparison.

In a chat with MMA Fighting.com, The No.5 in the Light Weight division expressed his views on his bout and said, “I’m fresh out of fks to give and I couldn’t be happier. I’m in such a good place right now. I’ve never lost two in a row in the UFC. It’s never happened and I think it’s because of this mindset I’m in right now. I am out of fks to give. I just want to go fight and have fun.
“When my back’s against the wall, is when I’m most dangerous. When I fail, I always bounce back stronger. Every time. I don’t expect this to be any different. I’m going to go in there and whatever happens, happens. I’m fairly unconcerned with the result, I’m focused on what happens between the bells. I don’t really care what happens after the last bell.”
Light Heavyweight division right now does not have a champion figure, but with Jan Blachowicz Vs. Dominick Reyes set for UFC 253, the weight class will get its new talisman. However, this fight at Vegas 8 can serve as an opportunity for either Smith or Rakic to climb up the ladder and present future contendership.
