“It would be nice to find the philosopher’s stone overnight”- Sebastian Vettel wishes for better performance in Monza with poor Belgian GP.

Ferrari had nowhere to hide their face, as both the cars had to settle with P13 and P14 in the Belgian Grand Prix 2020 race, the Italian outfit even conceded against its sister team Alfa Romeo, as Kimi Raikkonen fetched better result than both at P12.

With Formula 1 heading to Monza, its is now an added pressure at Ferrari to perform better at their home, as it would be a disgrace for them if they pull out something similar to this over there.

Sebastian Vettel is quite optimistic about the race in the Italian Grand Prix but also not keeping unrealistic expectations, as he believes that his side will bring in necessary changes to amend the damage.

“I think today has shown all the weaknesses of the car, all the weaknesses that exist. We need to work on those. We shouldn’t expect miracles for next week but it should be a bit better” said Vettel.

“It would be nice to find the philosopher’s stone overnight, but I don’t think you can find it anywhere, it’s not there. We have to keep on doing the small steps right and optimise our package.”

“In this respect, there is no revolution overnight. What we can do is to optimise our package and I hope we will be better next week..” he concluded.

Mattia Binotto facing the axe

Mattia Binotto has asked Ferrari fans to have some patience with the team’s performances but whether the team administration has enough patience for Binotto is a bigger question.

Monza could be the endgame for Binotto, as a humiliating display by him over there can change things for him forever. Though it is also being speculated that Binotto might not have that time also, as he can be sacked before the next weekend.
