Mauro Ranallo and WWE part ways. The announcer confirmed the news on his social media. This was his second stint with the promotion.
Mauro Ranallo has left the WWE once again. Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer was the first to report the news.

There were rumors that Ranallo was leaving or even done over the past week, but no details or confirmation were able to be procured. However, Ranallo has now confirmed the news himself.

He took to facebook and confirmed his departure.
“I appreciate the opportunity I had to realize my childhood dream of working in sports entertainment, and I wish WWE well in the future,” he wrote. “Now I want to direct my focus and devote my time to my other projects and to my mental health charitable activities and the well-being of my mother and myself.”

Ranallo first signed with the WWE back in 2015. He was a commentator on SmackDown before he took some time off in 2017. He returned in June of that year to lead the NXT announce team and has done so since then.
Ranallo has also continued his work announcing for boxing and MMA as an independent contractor, and is an advocate for ending the stigma associated with mental health issues.
