Leon Edwards is a potential No.1 contender for the Welterweight title shot. And many may believe he is been largely unfortunate till now, as despite winning his last 8 bouts, he’s still not in the title picture.
Him taking shots at Masvidal, and wanting to challenge him, might came out as an endeavor to solidify his place in the title frame, as Masvidal also has desired a rematch with Kamaru Usman, from the minute he lost the fight at UFC 251. Thus, fighting and then registering a win over Masvidal, would make Rocky the undisputed No.1 to challenge Usman. But Jorge hasn’t been impacted with Edwards’ past claims and has ignored his calling each time.
