Is Giannis Antetokounmpo playing today vs Heat? Bucks’ injury report for Game 4 could mean ‘playoff exit’
Reigning MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo suffered from an ankle sprain in Game 3 and Bucks have now released a worrying injury report for the same.
The Milwaukee Bucks are on the brink of elimination from the NBA playoffs after suffering their 3rd straight loss to the Miami Heat. They lost the game despite having a 12 point lead entering the 4th quarter. The Bucks got outscored by an NBA playoff record 27 points in the final period. They scored only 13 points in comparison to 40 points conceded.
Is Giannis Antetokounmpo playing today vs Heat?
According to Bucks’ injury report for Game 4, Giannis Antetokounmpo has been listed as questionable, owing to the ankle sprain that he suffered in Game 3.
The report is extremely worrying for Bucks fans, as they aim to become the first team in the history of NBA to script a comeback from 3-0 to win a playoff series
Early in the first quarter of Game 3, Giannis came to an abrupt halt while landing heavily on his right foot. He finished the game out, playing 35 minutes on the night, but it was clear that he wasn’t at his physical peak. After the game ended, Giannis walked off limping from the arena, which were clear signs of discomfort.

His injury has been diagnosed as a right ankle sprain. How bad the injury is currently has not been revealed to us yet. Fielding a less-than-100% Giannis is definitely not ideal for the Bucks. They are up against history as things stand. No team has ever staged a comeback from a 3-0 deficit in the NBA playoffs. Only 3 teams have forced a Game 7.
Giannis is averaging some pretty gaudy raw statistics, but scratch the surface and you’ll find that he has been schemed out of 4th quarters by Erik Spoelstra. The Bucks have lost all 3 of their 4th quarters in this series. They will need Giannis to step up and become better at facilitating and scoring in clutch time.
