F1 FP2 Results: Valtteri Bottas fastest; Sergio Perez – Kimi Raikkonen cause red flag at Mugello F1 Free Practice 2 | Formula 1 2020 Tuscany Grand Prix
F1 FP2 Results of the Italian Grand Prix have gone in favour of the Mercedes of Valtteri Bottas, with teammate Lewis Hamilton in P2, an improvement from FP1.
Red Bull drivers Max Verstappen and Alexander Albon finished P3 and P4 respectively, followed by the two Renaults of Daniel Ricciardo and Esteban Ocon.
There were a couple of stoppages in the session, first when Lando Norris stopped his car midway, and later when Sergio Perez collided with Kimi Raikkonen to cause a Red flag. Perez and Raikkonen both did well ultimately to finish P7 and P9 respectively.
Ferrari meanwhile, put in an average performance with both Charles Leclerc and Sebastian Vettel involved in ‘spinning’ incidents. The latter suffered from engine failure and pulled up his car on the track after the session got over.

What to look forward to this weekend at the Tuscany GP?
It should be quite an intriguing battle between Hamilton, Bottas and Verstappen for the win, with all three looking solid so far this season. But after Gasly’s maiden F1 win at Monza, he should definitely be considered henceforth.
Ferrari is still struggling, and have their work cut out in their home track of Mugello. Sebastian Vettel’s motivation to perform will be under scrutiny after his move to Aston Martin was confirmed from next season.
As usual, the mid-teams’ battle will be between Racing Point, AlphaTauri, McLaren and Renault. AlphaTauri’s Pierre Gasly is looking particularly strong.
