Yuvraj Singh IPL 2020 team: Is Yuvraj Singh playing Indian Premier League 2020?
Yuvraj Singh IPL 2020 team: The former Indian all-rounder is one of the finest white-ball players which the game has produced.
Despite retiring from international cricket more than a year ago, former India all-rounder Yuvraj Singh has such a loyal fan base that people always look forward to watching him play in some competition or the other.
Post his retirement from international cricket last year, Yuvraj captained Toronto Nationals in the second season of the Global T20 League 2019 and represented Maratha Arabians in the Abu Dhabi T10 League the same year.
The two-time World Cup winner also traveled to Australia to take part in the Bushfire relief match in addition to playing for India Legends in the Road Safety World Series earlier this year.
It was only last month when Yuvraj was also requested by PCA (Punjab Cricket Association) secretary Puneet Bali to come out of retirement and play for Punjab in domestic tournaments. While Yuvraj has reportedly written to the BCCI seeking permission to play in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, the cricket board is yet to respond.
As recent as a fortnight ago, there were also reports of the 38-year old player contemplating to play in the Big Bash League in Australia.

As far as Yuvraj’s participation in the cash-rich Indian Premier League is concerned, he won’t be taking part in the 13th season starting from today in Abu Dhabi. Yuvraj, who had made it clear while announcing his retirement that he won’t be playing in the IPL, was subsequently released by Mumbai Indians ahead of last year’s auction.
In his 12-year long IPL career, Yuvraj represented six franchises namely Kings XI Punjab (twice), Pune Warriors India, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Delhi Capitals (then Daredevils), Sunrisers Hyderabad and Mumbai Indians.
In 133 IPL matches, Yuvraj scored 2,750 runs at an average of 24.77 and a strike rate of 129.72 including 13 half-centuries. Yuvraj’s 36 IPL wickets came at an average of 29.92, an economy rate of 7.44 and a strike rate of 24.14.
