‘Where was this vs Nuggets?’: Clippers teammates call out Paul George after playoff exit speech
The Clippers are in dire straits right now, but Paul George is focusing on the positives. He has reportedly asked teammates to come back and ‘run it back’ again.
In one of the worst playoff meltdowns ever, the Clippers blew a 3-1 lead in the Conference semis to the Nuggets. Their 3 losses all came after they held double digit advantages in the first half.
The Clippers’ offense disappeared for all these second halves as they fell prey to some excellent play from Jokic and his Nuggets.
Paul George and Clippers teammates at odds with each other
Despite some glaring weaknesses all across the team and the obvious lack of chemistry, George wants teammates to return next season.
He said as much to his teammates after their disastrous Game 7 loss. This is obviously with the belief that they will get over their chemistry and fatigue issues and remain relevant for another season.
What’s next for the Clippers after their shocking elimination?

George’s upbeat attitude was met with some consternation by his teammates. They clearly believed that he’d wilted on the biggest stage with them. It was as if they were calling him out for himself being ‘absent’ during the series loss vs Nuggets
George had a below-par offseason for the most part. He only had 3 30-point games, and was held to below 30% shooting by the Mavs in Games 2,3 and 4 against them. He didn’t fare much better against the Nuggets either.
The Clippers have 9 players contracted to them through next season of their original 15 for the season. Reigning Sixth Man of the Year Montrezl Harrell is a free agent. His return will be crucial for them to piece together another strong bench unit for the next season.
