“Tribute to Ayrton this weekend”- Pierre Gasly reveals customized helmet to give tribute to Ayrton Senna at Imola
“Tribue to Ayrton this weekend”- Pierre Gasly reveals customized helmet to mark a tribute to Ayrton Senna, who lost his life at Imola.
Ayrton Senna, among the best drivers to ever grace Formula 1, lost his life at Imola circuit in 1994, the circuit is now returning to Formula 1 after more than 14 years, and Michael Schumacher till date is the last winner over there.
With most of the paddock unfamiliar with the track, it is surely going to be exciting. But at the same time, a remembrance for Senna would also add up to the prestige of the event.
Seeing the ongoing proceedings, Alpha Tauri driver Pierre Gasly has revealed his special design helmet which he will adorn ahead of the Grand Prix this weekend.
The French superstar revealed the helmet on his social media handle and wrote a short caption to drop the significance of his actions. “Tribute to Ayrton this weekend.💛 Remembering one of my idol with this special helmet. Legends are never forgotten. #SennaSempre
@oficialayrtonsenna.” wrote Gasly on his Instagram.
Tributes compel Gasly to perform well
Last time when Gasly gave a tribute to an individual- Anthony Hubert, he went onto win the race at Monza. This time will the strange luck work for him. Co-incidentally, the race is once again in Italy.
Gasly’s unprecedented podium finish might accelerate his chances to regain his lost spot in Red Bull, where he had to face relegation to Toro Rosso (now Alpha Tauri) due to a string of underwhelming results.
But even with Alex Albon taking the charge of the seat after him, the Thai born driver is also not delivering the results up to expectations.
