UFC 256: Amanda Nunes Vs. Megan Anderson is Off, Will Be Rescheduled To a Later Date
UFC 256’s headliner will witness a change for the second time, as the much anticipated December 12 clash between Amanda Nunes and Megan Anderson is set to get deferred.
Year’s final pay-per-view UFC 256 will get a fresh headliner bout, as the initial set main event between Amanda Nunes and Megan Anderson is off.
According to early reports, the fight is scrapped following Nunes’ withdrawal, but the reason behind this act is still unknown, however, her opponent to be- Megan Anderson- has taken to Twitter to wish the champ-champ a speedy recovery, which thereby gives an impression that she has pulled out because of some health or an injury scare.
The contest was supposed to be for the UFC Featherweight championship, but with the champion out, there are apparently no talks for a substitute, and as per Anderson, the promotion is planning to reschedule it for early 2021.

New Headliner Bout
Though, the concerned match-up was never officially announced, but when Kamaru Usman Vs. Gilbert Burns’ Welterweight title fight fell through, which was the original targeted main event, the replacement fight that vehemently came up- Petr Yan Vs. Aljamain Sterling–was said to become the co-main of Nunes Vs. Anderson.
But, now with the Lioness not available to compete, Yan Vs. Sterling might get the elevation to become the new headliner bout of UFC 256.
