“It hurts to say it but he’s the best of them all right now”- Former Red Bull driver admits Lewis Hamilton is among the greatest despite dislikeness.
Lewis Hamilton sealed the Drivers’ Championship for the 7th time after his victory in the Turkish Grand Prix, the win brought several admirers out of the shell admitting his greatness.
In the above mentioned group former Red Bull driver Robert Doornbos claimed that despite him not being one of Hamilton, he still feels that the Briton is among the greatest drivers of all time.
“To win the title in this way, you are a real boss”, Doornbos refers to Hamilton’s win of the race. “I’m turned. I always thought he was a bit fake, but I think he said some wonderful things afterwards”, says the presenter. “It hurts to say it, but he’s the best of them all right now.”
He further pointed out that the Briton driver exhibited his quality by driving through the harsh conditions presented by the weather and the track.
“It is how he assesses the risks. The opening lap was chaotic, but he only takes calculated risks. In the end, he had the fewest faults and then you come out on top.” The former Formula 1 driver doesn’t think this is going to stop for Hamilton either. “He’s not finished with the sport at all.”
