‘The Clippers are better than the Lakers, Marc Gasol is a fossil’: Skip Bayless goes off on LeBron James and co.
Skip Bayless took to Twitter to rant about the Lakers being worse than the Clippers, taking shots at all of the offseason moves they made.
Skip Bayless will always find time to bash LeBron James and any team James is on, no matter the circumstances. The Lakers have had a wild offseason to say the least, and have made a considerable amount of roster changes.
Almost all of the moves made by the Lakers front office can be viewed as upgrades, but Skip Bayless continues to poke holes in an otherwise near-perfect offseason.
The Lakers signed the best Sixth Men from last season, re-signed KCP to a 3 year deal, signed 3&D specialist Wesley Matthews, and mere hours ago, brought along Spaniard Marc Gasol for 2 years.
Meanwhile the Los Angeles Clippers made their own roster upgrade, signing Serge Ibaka for a 2 year deal.
Skip Bayless takes shots at the Lakers for their roster changes.
Skip Bayless is never one to shy away from LeBron James slander. In a promo for the upcoming episode of Undisputed, Skip Bayless goes off on the Los Angeles Lakers.
Can’t wait for Undisputed. Clippers>Lakers. Ibaka>Trez. Lakers are going to miss Rondo and Dwight and their chippy edge. Marc Gasol is now a fossil.
— Skip Bayless (@RealSkipBayless) November 23, 2020
He claimed the Clippers are still better than the Lakers and that the recent Gasol signing does not make a difference because Gasol is “a fossil”.
He was quick to call out the Lakers for giving up Rondo and Dwight Howard as well.
Is there any validity to Skip Bayless’s tweet?
Serge Ibaka does in fact perform better than Harrell in the Playoffs as Harrell has a track record of shrinking in big moments. However, this one move does not make the Clippers better than the Lakers.
Rondo and Dwight brought a certain level of tenacity that might not be replicated by the new signees, but that is up for debate.
Marc Gasol’s playmaking from the post makes him a viable option even at the age of 35.
Overall, the ‘battle for LA’ will be a fun one, especially with Harrell signing with the Lakers instead of the Clippers.
